Alfred Rathheim, a retired Manhattan lawyer, died Sunday while vacationing in Montecatini, Italy. He was 90 years old and lived in Manhattan.

Mr. Rathheim, a 1920 graduate of New York University Law School, specialized in trusts, estates and in litigation. A founder of the law firm of Schreiber, Buchter & Rathheim, he retired from practice in 1986.

He was a past president of the Lexington Center of Services to the Hearing Impaired.

He is survived by his wife, Manuela.
