Children: Allen B. Baker, born in 1832, is a son of Hersey, and a grandson of Washington Baker. His mother was Mercy, daughter of Daniel Homer. Mr. Baker was a sea captain until 1874, and since that time he has kept a livery and boarding stable at South Yarmouth. He was married February 12, 1855, to Betsey A., daughter of Amos and Nancy (Gorham) Farris.
